Job Title: Library and Information Specialist

Old Town Elementary School is a K-5 organization with a thriving library program that services all of our almost 600 students. The library was designed to be the heart and soul of our school and was placed in the middle of the school structure to serve as the center of our literacy program. We are seeking a candidate that is a dynamic teacher with enthusiasm for learning, literacy, and connecting to the existing wider curriculum through teaching and maintaining a diverse collection of resources. Applicants must have professional skills in collaboration, leadership, and progressive ideas to spark the learning environment of our school. The job goal is to provide leadership and expertise to staff as they connect the learning goals of the classroom to the literacy and technology opportunities in the library and to spark a love of literacy in our students. Our library position is seen as a quasi-coaching position, providing additional support, resources, and professional development for a variety of staff. LEONARD MIDDLE SCHOOL

RSU #34 seeks a strong educational leader to serve as Principal of the J.A. Leonard Middle School, continue our momentum, and lead the next steps in our growth. RSU #34 and LMS strive to continually build upon our strengths to enhance the quality and consistency of our services for ALL students. This happens through a comprehensive approach focusing on students’ academic, social, and emotional needs; raising student achievement, student aspirations, and student engagement.

The next principal of LMS will be student-focused, collaborative, and an accomplished instructional leader. Assets in place include: standards-based grading and reporting; the Building Assets, Reducing Risks program; Restorative Practices; a Professional Growth & Performance Evaluation system using the InTASC professional standards; Chapter 104 (gifted/talented) programming; RTI protocol and interventions; and a strong Unified Arts program. Next steps for LMS include further refinement of our intervention and extension models, implementation and enhancement of a multi-year growth plan developed with community input, continued exploration of successful organizational and staffing plans, support for a grant-funded collaborative youth mentoring program with the YMCA, and continued community engagement.

Must have the following certifications or be able to obtain them: Maine Fingerprint Certification (CHRC), and Building Administrator Certification (040).

Special Education Teacher

RSU #34 and Old Town High School are seeking a talented 9-12 Special Education Teacher starting in the 天天乐棋牌-2021 school year to work with high school students with special needs in the areas of math and executive functioning. Candidates should have sound knowledge of basic algebra and geometry to teach and support students. The ability to differentiate materials and standards by grade level and student is needed. Experience working with students, instructional programs and case management at this grade level is preferred.

Additional stipend provided for case management responsibilities per teacher contract.

Must hold a valid Maine DOE CHRC and 282 Certification.

Track Coach

OTHS Athletics is looking for a motivated and driven track coach to help assist our Spring Track Program. We are looking to add an individual that will be apart of the girls and boys OT Track Program that has shared in a ton of student-athlete and team success in recent years.

We are looking for a coach with track experience, coaching experience, and knowledge of throwing events or coaching experience in the throwing events.

Season starts at the end of March
